Let Their Be Light ~ 500 Years of the English Bible

Let Their Be Light ~ 500 Years of the English Bible

Commemorative Special Publication

500 years ago William Tyndale first translated the New Testament into English from the original Greek and began smuggling printed copies across the English channel.  The results of the common man now able to read the scriptures for himself were nothing short of revolutionary!

The complete English Bible, translated from the original tongues, would take over a decade and was completed in 1537 with the publication of the Mathew's Bible.  In that time Tyndale was hunted and put to death and others stepped in to finish the monumental project.

To connect people to these events we have produced a full colour, 40 page Commemorative Special publication that can be passed on as a gift or handed out at events and exhibtions.

This Special focuses on the man William Tyndale, the mission, the opposition, the impact, and God’s hand overseeing it all.

Remarkable Milestone:

“Generation after generation of Englishmen studied the Book. As it was often the only book in the house, it was read over and over again. Its sayings became household words. Its stories, heroes, kings and prophets were as familiar as neighbors. Many chapters were known by heart; whole verses and passages were cited in everyday speech.” ~ Michael Pragai
